Hello, friends and happy Thursday!! The Simply Spring Release from Honey Bee Stamps is now available and we are celebrating with a fun and inspiring Instagram hop!! I’ll pop my IG link at the bottom, so you can join in the fun over there (there are two $50 GCs up for grabs)!! This release is absolutely AMAZING!!! One of my favorite Honey Bee releases EVER!!

My card today combines several new goodies for a sweet Mother’s Day card for my mom!!

I began by die-cutting all of the pieces for my bird, nest and cherry blossom branch from white cardstock using the Lovely Layers: Spring Birds, Lovely Layers: Nest and Lovely Layers: Cherry Blossom Honey Cut Sets. I used a ton of Distress Oxide Inks to color them, splattered them with some diluted ink, then once they were dry, I adhered them all together with Bee Creative Glue. I added some dots to the centers of the blooms with a yellow gel pen.

For the background, I die-cut the largest of the Spring Vine Layering Frames from light blue cardstock and layered it over a panel of patterned paper from the Simply Spring Paper Pad. I NEED about 10 of these paper pads…absolutely LOVE them!!! I also used two other frame dies in that set to cut layers from the same patterned paper and vellum. I layered them all together and adhered them with Bee Creative Glue. The layered die-cuts were arranged and adhered to the background, also using liquid adhesive.

The sentiment, from the This One’s For the Girls Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink, then cut out with its Coordinating Die. It was popped up with foam tape. A few light pink pearls from the Pastel Pearl Sticker Pack finish off the card.

I also created some wax seals to seal the envelop using the Simply Spring Wax Melts, the Spring Bird Wax Stamper and the Cherry Blossom Wax Stamper!!

I absolutely LOVE how this turned out!! I even added three eggs to the nest, one for me and each of my two brothers…I thought that was a nice personal touch!!
