Hello, crafty friends and happy weekend to you all!!
I have a sweet card to share with you today featuring the Giraffe-ic Friends Stamp Set from Alex Syberia Designs!! These giraffes are totally adorable and there are several clever sentiments in the set to go along with these darling creatures!! I combined one of them with a die-cut sentiment from the Love & Hugs Die Set!!
I began by stamping the giraffes from the Giraffe-ic Friends Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly ink. I also stamped the greenery and clouds several times. Once they were colored with Copic markers, I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out.
For the background panel, I blended Rustic Wilderness, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Inks onto a panel of white cardstock for the ground. The sky was blended with Stormy Sky and Tumbled Glass. Once that was dry, the greenery and clouds were adhered to the background with liquid glue and the excess was trimmed from the edges. The giraffes were adhered with liquid glue at the bottom and the top of the heads and necks were popped up with foam adhesive, for dimension.
The sub-sentiment, from Giraffe-ic Friends, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut out with its Coordinating Die. The top layer of “hugs” was cut once from black cardstock and three times from heavyweight white cardstock using the Love and Hugs Die Set, while the bottom layer was cut twice from heavyweight white cardstock. The layers were stacked and adhered together, then added to the front of the card. The sub-sentiment was adhered with foam tape and this card was finished.
Well, that’s it for me today!! Have a wonderful weekend and I’ll see you soon!!
