Happy Friday!! We made it to the weekend!! I hope you have some fun plans!! I think we’re heading to the lake for a couple of days!! I have a card to share today featuring the Spring Floral Stem Die Set from Scrappy Tails Crafts!!
I love a tone-on-tone embossed background!! Here’s a way to fake that look when you don’t have an embossing folder…plus it matches your focal point!!
I began by die-cutting the base layer from the Spring Floral Stem Die Set several times from white cardstock. I arranged and adhered the die-cuts to a white panel of cardstock that was slightly smaller than A2. I filled the entire panel and trimmed the excess from the edges. The panel was adhered to an A2 panel of coral cardstock.
Next, I die-cut the Spring Floral Stem Dies from coral, yellow and two shades of green cardstock. They were layered and adhered together with liquid adhesive. I also die-cut the base layer two more times from heavyweight white cardstock and adhered them behind the colored cardstock one, for dimension. It was then adhered to the center of the background.
The sentiment, from the Heartfelt Wings Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I die-cut three more layers from heavyweight white cardstock and adhered them to the back, trimming away the portion that overlaps the leaf on the bottom of the floral. Clear confetti adds a bit of shine and finishes off the card.
I just love that tone-on-tone dimension on the background and that floral die-cut is so gorgeous!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a great weekend!!
