I Couldn’t Have Picked A Better Friend – Hero Arts

Hello, friends!! I have a card to share featuring the Apple Branch Stamp & Cut Set and the Apple Frame Layering Stencils from the new I Pick You Collection from Hero Arts that dropped on Saturday!!

The images in the Apple Branch Stamp & Cut Set were stamped onto Alabaster cardstock with Copic-friendly black ink. (I usually stamp my images on white cardstock, but I decided to use Alabaster cardstock this time and I LOVE the result!!) The images were colored with Copic markers, then cut out with the included dies. A white gel pen was used to add highlights to the apples and leaves and a yellow gel pen was used to add dots to the centers of the flowers.

For the background, I blended the Apple Frames Layering Stencils onto another panel of Alabaster cardstock using a combination of Distress Inks and dye inks. The panel was die-cut with an A2 rectangle die. I decided it distracted a bit from the focal point image, so I die-cut a panel of vellum with the same rectangle die and splattered it with diluted gold watercolor paint. The apple branch was adhered to the vellum panel with liquid glue and the flowers were popped up with foam tape. I added liquid glue to the back of the vellum panel, only behind the die-cuts, and adhered it to the stenciled background panel.

The sentiments are also included in the Apple Branches Stamp & Die Set. They were stamped with embossing ink, white heat embossed onto Raven cardstock, cut out with the coordinating dies and popped up with foam tape. I added lots of matte gold confetti to tie in the gold splatter on the vellum background and this card was finished.

Such perfect images for autumn!!

Be sure to check out the entire I Pick You Collection over in the Hero Arts shop!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day!!
