hello, crafty friends and happy Friday!! I have a card for Scrappy Tails Crafts that I hope brightens your day!! Scrappy Tails recently had a brand new Adventure Awaits travel-themed release, but I don’t have it yet, so my card was created with a die set from the Life Is A Story Release.

I began by die-cutting all the elements in the A7 Open Book with Flower Bouquet Die Set from pink, green, aqua, teal, yellow, gray and white cardstock. I added some shading and details with small blending brushes and dye inks, then adhered all the pieces together with liquid glue.

I stenciled the background with Spun Sugar and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Inks, applying the darker color at the bottom and getting lighter toward the top. The panel was trimmed slightly and adhered to an A2 panel of pink cardstock. The book and flowers were then adhered with liquid glue.

The sentiment is from the Spring Seedlings Stamp Set. It was stamped with teal ink, cut out with the Coordinating Die and popped up in the upper, right corner with foam tape. To finish, I added some dots to the centers of the flowers with a yellow gel pen.
