Happy Valentine’s Day, fellow crafters!! I hope your week is going well!! Brenda I have a floral die-cut card featuring products from the newest Meraki Hugs Release from Crafty Meraki!! The theme this week is “focus on sentiments”, so I have a couple of tips to make your sentiments stand out!!
I began by die-cutting the Artisan Flora Wreath Builder Die Set from two shades of orchid, green, aqua and yellow cardstock. I adhered all the layers of the flowers together with liquid glue.
Next, I die-cut the Wanderlust A2 Background Die from white cardstock and adhered it over a panel of white cardstock. I trimmed it slightly and adhered it to an A2 panel of orchid cardstock.
The sentiment was die cut from white and two shades of orchid cardstock using the Meraki Moments Just A Note Die Set. The layers were adhered together with liquid glue. This leads to my first two tips on making the sentiment the star of the show. Pop it up with foam tape and place it in the center of the background. “Hello”, from the Meraki Moments Just A Note Stamp Set, was stamped onto the darker plum cardstock with Versamark Ink, heat embossed with white embossing powder, trimmed into a narrow strip and added with foam tape.
The flowers were adhered to the top and bottom of the card with liquid glue. My third and final tip for letting your sentiments shine is to surround it with the other elements on your card. Top and bottom, right and left or diagonal all work to draw your eye across the card and bring your sentiment front and center.I adhered single flower to fill in the space next to the first line of the sentiment and balance the design. A single Green Gem was adhered to that flower and this card was complete.
I am in love with this new release!! I can’t wait to use more of the flowers in the Artisan Flora Wreath Builder Die Set!! So many possibilities!!
Thanks for stopping by today!! Enjoy the rest of your week and I’ll see you soon!!
