Hello, fellow crafters!! This week’s theme on the Crafty Meraki blog is creating with shapes…either a shaped card or creating with shapes. I decided to do a little no-line coloring on the Rose Rhapsody Stamp Set and highlight the blooms in circular die-cuts!!
I began by stamping the Rose Rhapsody Stamp Set onto white cardstock with InkOn3 Fadeout Ink. Next, since I wasn’t going to use the entire image, I chose three different size circle dies that I wanted to use and traced around the outside of the dies with a pencil over the roses that I wanted to highlight. I colored the images with Copic markers, then used the Coordinating Die to cut them out.
The floral paper, from the Watercolor Whimsy Paper Pack, was die-cut with a rectangle die and adhered to an A2 white card base with liquid glue. The circle dies were cut from the blue and white striped paper, which is also from the Watercolor Whimsy Paper Pack. They were adhered to the background with liquid glue, along with the rose die-cuts.
The sentiment, from the Gilded Greetings EAP, was cut out with the Coordinating Die and popped up with foam adhesive. Meraki Ivory Opal Gems were the perfect finishing touch.
That’s it for me today!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!
