Hello, fellow card makers and happy Thursday!! I have a watercolored encouragement card to share with you today for Crafty Meraki!!
I began by stamping the Paint-A-Flower: Camelia from Altenew onto bristol smooth cardstock with InkOn3 Fadeout Ink. I did some no-line watercoloring with Karin Brushmarker Pro Markers. Once it was dry, I splattered it with lots of diluted ink and white gouache. I trimmed the panel slightly and adhere it to a panel of pink cardstock, then a top-folding card base.
The sentiment, also from the Paint-A-Flower: Camelia, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, then fussy cut and trimmed into a narrow strip. The fussy cut script was adhered with liquid adhesive and the strip was popped up with foam adhesive.
That’s it!! When I spend a lot of time on no-line coloring, I like to keep the rest of the card simple so the focus is on the beautifully colored image.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a great day!!
So beautiful! Just gorgeous!
This is gorgeous!
May I ask what color combo did you use?
Thank you Mandi! For the flowers I used a combination of Rose Pink, Cerise, Magenta with hints of yellow. For the leaves & stems I used Grass & Lush Green. Hope this helps!!
