Happy Tuesday, crafty friends!! I hope your week is off to a great start!!
I combined some of the new Honey Bee Stamps Perfect Day Release goodies with some older products to create this fun 3 dimensional pop-up beach scene to share with you today!!
I began by die-cutting all of the elements for my beach scene from heavyweight white cardstock using the Shoreline Scene Builder Honey Cuts. Some of the elements that I planned to add to the front layers of my pop-up card were die-cut again from white cardstock to add stability. I colored one layer of all of the die-cuts with Copic markers, then adhered the additional layers behind the colored ones with Bee Creative Glue.
For the background, I trimmed a panel of Bristol smooth cardstock to 4.25″ square and blended Mermaid Lagoon, Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Inks onto it with blending brushes.
Next, the A2 Scene Builder Card Base Honey Cuts were cut from heavyweight white cardstock. The sand layers were cut from patterned paper with the Beach Vibes Paper Pad with the A2 Mountain Scene Builder Add-on Dies. I blended a little Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink onto the bottom of each of them to add some dimension. Now it was time to assemble my scene!! I adhered the card base, all of the layers and the die-cuts with Bee Creative Glue.
The sentiment, from the Seas the Day Stamp Set, was stamped onto heavyweight white cardstock with Intense Black Ink, then cut out with the Coordinating Honey Cut. I wanted it to “float” toward the front of my scene, so I cut two strips of heavyweight acetate, adhered them to the sentiment die-cut, then behind the front layer of my card base.
This folds flat to mail in an A2 envelope!! Although there is a little bulk, so you may want to add additional postage or send it in a bubble mailer so it doesn’t get damaged.
I had so much fun creating this little scene!! In fact, I already created another pop-up card for next week!! Stay tuned!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a great week and I’ll see you soon!!
