Hello everyone!! February is the month of love!! Valentine’s Day & Anniversaries galore!! My parents just celebrated 53 years of marriage!! When I received the Shapeabilities Eau de Lavande Label Etched Dies from Spellbinders, I immediately knew that it was the perfect fit for their anniversary card!! So elegant…
I started off by die cutting all the pieces…the large shape from vellum, the medium from gold glitter paper and the small from white cardstock. These dies are so intricate, but they cut through all of the different papers beautifully. I found that the “Love” sentiment from The Ton’s Country Rose Cluster stamp set, fit on the small label perfectly. I chose to stamp it with Versamark Ink, then heat embossed it with a gold glitter embossing powder. I also heat embossed the Delicate Polka Dots Cling Background Stamp from The Ton with gold glitter powder to create the background panel. Next, all I had to do was assemble the card! I used the same glitter paper that I cut the medium shape from to edge each side of my polka-dot panel. I cut out a small portion of the center of the vellum piece, just so it would fit better on my card front. A strip of organza ribbon was placed down the center of the card and adhered to the back of the panel. The white label was popped up with foam adhesive onto the gold die-cut, which was also adhered to the panel with dimensional adhesive. A small bow was tied into a bow and attached below the white die-cut, before adhering the entire panel onto a top-folding note card.
Thanks to Team Spellbinders, I have the perfect anniversary card for my mom & dad!! I can’t wait to make more of these…maybe silver next time!! Oh, can you image using this for a wedding card and using the colors from the wedding?
I also received the Die D-Lites Lavender Bunch Etched Dies & hope to share that project next week!!
Thanks for stopping by today!!!
