Happy Tuesday, friends!! I have a trifold card to share today for Scrappy Tails Crafts!! The newest release from Scrappy Tails includes several die sets to create these unique trifold pop-up cards!! I used the A7 Trifold Pop Up Card Base; Christmas House Trifold; Christmas House Couch, Pets & Fireplace; Christmas House Chair & Christmas Tree and the Christmas House A7 Brick Background Die on my card. The Christmas House Trifold Bundle includes all the dies used on my cards at a discount, except the A7 Trifold Pop Up Card Base. It does include the Christmas House Window and Christmas House Staircase dies that I didn’t use on my card today.
Be sure to check out Sabrina’s video on YouTube for a great tutorial on how to create trifold cards!! It’s really difficult to put into words in a blog post, but a video makes it so much easier to understand how to assemble them!!
Here’s the front of the card…
I used one of my favorite color combos for Christmas. I did trim the pale yellow cardstock to add behind the light, but everything else is die-cut using dies in the Christmas House Trifold Die Set and the Christmas House A7 Brick Background Die creates the brick texture.
Here’s what you see when you open up the left side…
For the brick on the inside, I die-cut the house panel using the Christmas House Trifold Die, then the Christmas House A7 Brick Background. I used light gray dye ink and a brayer to add some color and make the brick pattern stand out a little more. The sentiment is included in the Christmas House Chair & Christmas Tree Die Set. So perfect for this card!!
When you open the right side and fold down the pop-up, it reveals this amazing scene…
The stone behind the fireplace, the fireplace and the sweet little pets all pop out from the back “wall” and create so much dimension!! The “wall” layer was die-cut from pattern paper in the Grain and Grunge Paper Pad from Honey Bee Stamps. I used a black fine line marker to add in the details for the pets’ faces.
This was definitely a labor of love, but it turned out soooooo cute!! I think it will have to be displayed in my home for the holidays!! I don’t think I can part with it!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful Tuesday!!
