May Your Day Bloom with Happiness – Honey Bee Stamps

Hello, friends and happy Tuesday!! They say April showers bring May flowers!! Well, we should have a ton of flowers considering the enormous amount of rain we’ve had in the midwest lately!! My card for Honey Bee Stamps is inspired by the daffodils and tulips that are blooming in Missouri right now!!

I began by die-cutting the pieces for the blooms from white cardstock using the Lovely Layers: Tulips Honey Cut Set. I used a combination of dye inks and Distress Inks to add shading to the die-cuts. The Distress Inks I used were Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness. I used Bee Creative Glue to adhere all of the die-cuts together.

For the background, I embossed the Sandie’s Garden 3D Embossing Folder onto a panel of white cardstock. It was trimmed and adhered to a panel of pink gingham cardstock from the Giddy for Gingham Paper Pad that was die-cut with the scalloped die in the Lace Heart Layering Frames Die Set. The panel was adhered to a white A2 card base and the tulips were arranged and adhered using Bee Creative Glue.

The sentiment is from the Blessings of Spring Stamp Set. It was stamped onto white cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I also die-cut three more layers from heavyweight white cardstock, adhered them behind the stamped one and adhered them to the front of the card. I added Star Dust Stickles to the stamen on the largest tulip. Pearls from the Celebration Pearl Sticker Pack finish off the card and add a bit more color to the background.

This could be used for so many occasions…from Mother’s Day to birthdays, the possibilities are endless!!

That’s it for me today!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day!!
