May Your Days Be Merry and Bright – Honey Bee

Happy Saturday everyone!!! Hope you have a great weekend planned…or maybe no plans at all. Which sounds pretty good to me:).

It’s Release Week at Honey Bee Stamps & we are giving you some peeks at the new products that will be available for purchase on November 7th. I used the Merry and Bright stamp set for my project today.

I started off by blending Distress Oxide Inks onto a panel of Bristol paper. I used an ombre effect, going from light at the bottom to darker at the top, then flicked on some Perfect Pearls mixed with water. I used the A2 Double Stitched Frames to cut the center of the panel. I stamped the snowman from Let It Snow onto white cardstock with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink, then did some quick Copic coloring, before cutting with the Coordinating Die.  After determining the placement of the snowman, I stamped “Merry and Bright” with Versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. To my delight, the “May Your Days Be” fit perfectly into the banner from Let It Snow. I stamped it with the same Distress Oxide Inks that I used for the blended background, then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. The center panel was adhered flat to the card base, while the outer frame & banner were popped up with foam adhesive. The snowman was adhered flat to the outer frame & with foam adhesive on the recessed area. The Snowball Shaker Bits were adhered onto the center, recessed panel with Matte Multi Medium.

I appreciate you stopping by today!! I’ll be back on Tuesday for my regular Tuesday post for Honey Bee with another new set!!! So exciting!!!

Have a wonderful weekend!!!

  1. One of my all time favorite blended backgrounds – the colors you chose are just so striking. And then to repeat them again in the sentiment – genius! Gorgeous work!
