Merry Christmas Candy Bucket – Pretty Pink Posh

Hello, friends!! Pretty Pink Posh is hosting a fun and inspiring Instagram hop today to celebrate the Christmas release!! I thought I’d share the details for my card here!!

I began by die-cutting the Candy Bucket Dies and the Christmas Bucket Additions Dies from pink, red, green, aqua, tan, brown, black and white cardstock. I used a white gel pen to add details and highlights, then the individual elements were adhered together with liquid glue.

For the background, I die-cut the Argyle Pierced Plate from white cardstock and adhered it to an A2 white card base. The two largest dies in the Wonky Stitched Rectangles Die Set were taped together and die-cut from a panel of light blue cardstock to create a frame. I die-cut the frame from vellum, as well, to adhere to the blue frame to lighten it a bit. The bucket and all the accessories were arranged and adhered with liquid glue, then adhered to the background. The deer’s snout was popped up with a foam square. I added bright pink ink to the deer’s cheeks and ears with a detail blending brush. I used a black glaze pen to add shine to the eyes and mouth and once it was dry, added the highlights with a white gel pen. A bit of Glossy Accents adds a little shine to the nose.

The sentiment, from the Christmas Bells Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto red cardstock. “Merry’ was cut out with the Coordinating Die and “Christmas” was trimmed into a narrow banner. They were popped up in the bottom, left corner with foam tape. A few snowflakes from the Winter Snowflakes Clay Confetti Mix finish off the card.

That does it for me today!! Be sure to head over to Instagram to join in the festivities there!! You can get started on my account @mypapercutcreations!! There’s a $30 GC to the Pretty Pink Posh Shop up for grabs!!
