Hello friends!! I hope you’re having a great weekend!!
Have you gotten in to stitching on your cards? Although somewhat time consuming, I find it to be very therapeutic and the results are always amazing!! I have a card to share today for Spellbinders using the Stitchmas Tree Etched Dies from the Merry Stitchmas Collection.
I began by die-cutting the Stitchmas Tree Etched Dies from white cardstock, then stitched it with two strands of gold metallic embroidery floss. I die-cut the solid piece from gold glitter cardstock and adhered it to the back of the stitched one.
For the background, I added the oval shape with Polished Brass Foil using the largest of the Essential Glimmer Oval Hot Foil Plates. I trimmed the panel slightly and blended on some metallic gold ink. That panel was then adhered to a white top-folding card base.
The sentiment, from Yana’s Christmas Sentiments Hot Foil Plates, was also hot foiled in Polished Brass Foil, then cut out with the coordinating die included in the set. The tree and sentiment were both adhered with foam adhesive. I added tiny gold baubles to the centers of the stitching on the tree and that was it!!
I really love the elegance of gold and white for Christmas!! The combination of the stitching and the foil takes this card to the next level!!
Thanks so much for dropping by today!! Enjoy your Sunday and I’ll see you soon!!
can you tell me who makes the happy holidays sentiment die please? I have searched the Spellbinders website and can not find it. I like the size of it and would like to add it to my holiday dies. Thank you.
Hi Barbra! It’s the glimmer plate & die set here: https://www.spellbinderspaperarts.com/yanas-christmas-sentiments-glimmer-hot-foil-plate-die-set-from-yanas-christmas-foiled-basics-by-yana-smakula/?sscid=b1k5_oah6t but it seems that it’s out of stock at them moment. Hope this helps!
