Hello!! Thanks for stopping by today!! I have three projects to share that feature some motorcycles from The Ton’s recent release. These motorcycles are great for the men in your life that ride!! They are perfect for Father’s Day cards, as well!! There is one to color, one to layer and one to piece together from die-cuts.
Let’s start with the Motorcycle Boss outline image.
The motorcycle was stamped with Caviar Ink and colored with Copic markers, before die-cutting with the Coordinating Die. The smallest rectangle from the Double Stitched Rectangle Die (Large) was cut twice to make a smaller rectangle for my sentiment. I just cut it, shifted the die over, making sure to line up the stitched lines, and cut again. “Ride Like A Boss” was stamped onto the small rectangle with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with silver embossing powder. “It’s Your Birthday” was also heat embossed in silver onto a black cardstock strip. For the background, the motorcycle was stamped multiple times, then also heat embossed in silver. The small rectangle and motorcycle die were popped up with foam adhesive. The background panel was mounted onto black and blue cardstock to match the color of the motorcycle. I LOVE the way this turned out!!
The next card features the Motorcycle Layering Set.
I began by stamping the motorcycle with Light Onyx, Noir, Smoky Quartz, Crystal Pewter, Coral Cavern and Valentine Red Inks. This set is so easy to line up and creates a very dimensional motorcycle. The Coordinating Die was used to cut out the motorcycle. The sentiment was heat embossed with silver embossing powder onto a strip of black cardstock. For this background, I used the Star Trails set. I stamped the stars coming out from the middle, creating a sort of starburst effect. Valentine Red ink was used, with Versamark Ink and silver embossing powder. The panel was adhered to silver foil paper and red cardstock. The sentiment banner was adhered flat to the background, while the motorcycle was popped up with foam adhesive.
Last, but certainly not least, we have the Buildable Motorcycle Standalone Dies.
This turns out so cool when you use silver foil paper for many of the parts. I also used a couple of shades of gray cardstock for the other parts. After adhering all the parts of the motorcycle together, I went to work on the background. I used the new Toned Squares layering set. The inks I used were Caribbean Turquoise, Hot Tourmaline and Ocean Teal. The background panel was trimmed with a narrow strip of silver foil paper at the top and a wide strip of black cardstock at the bottom. The sentiment, from Motorcycle Boss, was heat embossed in white onto a black cardstock banner. The sentiment banner and motorcycle were both adhered with dimensional adhesive. I am thrilled about how this one turned out!!! It may be my favorite!!!
What about you!! Which one is your favorite?? I’d love to know!!!
Thanks for popping in today!! Have a great week!!!
