Oh Shiitake! Belated Birthday Card – Pink & Main

Happy Friday, friends!! I have a fun scene card to share today featuring the Snailed It Stamps & Coordinating Dies from the latest Pink & Main Release!! A good “punny” sentiment gets me every time and this stamp set is filled with them for many different occasions!!

I began by stamping the images from the Snailed It Stamp Set onto Ice Rink cardstock using Asphalt ink. I colored them with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out.

For the background, I blended a panel of Ice Rink cardstock with Mowed Lawn and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks. I splattered them with diluted Mermaid Lagoon and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Inks. Once dry, it was die-cut with the third largest die in the Layered Rectangles A2 Die Set and adhered to an A2 panel of striped pattern paper from the Hello Fall Paper Pad. I also die-cut two of the smaller banner shapes from pattern paper in the same paper pad using dies from the Card Cut Essentials Set 2 Die Set and adhered them to the upper left side of the background panel.

The sentiments, both from the Snailed It Stamp Set, were stamped onto the background with Asphalt ink. The mushrooms and tiny flowers were adhered with liquid glue, while the butterflies and snails were popped up with foam tape.

I love using pattern paper as color inspiration to color my images!! Often choosing colors is the hardest part for me, so this makes that decision making process that much easier!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Wishing those of you in the US a wonderful holiday weekend and everyone else a great weekend!!
