Hello, crafty friends!! I hope your week is off to a great start!!
We have some really good friends of the family who are expecting their first child and grandchild!! They didn’t find out the gender of the baby, so I made a baby girl and a baby boy card, so I could be prepared!! Plus, I just can’t stop with the rainbows from the latest Honey Bee release!!
I started by die-cutting the wide stripes for the rainbows from light pink and light blue cardstock and the thin stripes and decorative accents from white cardstock using the Rainbow Accents Honey Cuts. The clouds were die-cut from white cardstock with dies in the Rainbow Builder A2 Card Base Die Set.
For the backgrounds, I blended Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Inks onto panels of white cardstock using the cloud die in the Outdoor Scene Builder Stencil Set and blending brushes. I die-cut the panels with the third largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangles Honey Cut Set. Next, I adhered the rainbows with Bee Creative Glue and the clouds with foam tape, then trimmed the excess from each side. The panels were adhered to blue and pink scalloped cardstock panels that were die-cut with the largest Scallop A2 Card Frames Die, then to white top-folding card bases.
The Baby Honey Cuts were used to die-cut “baby” from the same colors of cardstock that I used on the rainbows. I used the Baby Stamp Set to stamp the rest of the sentiments onto white cardstock with Spun Sugar and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. They were trimmed into narrow strips and popped up with foam adhesive, along with the “baby” die-cuts.
To finish, I die-cut some pink hearts and blue stars with dies in the Rainbow Accents Die Set. They were added to the clouds with Bee Creative Glue.
I’m really excited about how these turned out, but even more excited for the baby to arrive!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a great week and I’ll see you next Tuesday!!
