Hello there, crafty friends!! Christmas card making is in full-force around here!! At some point, I need to start sending them out…ha!! My card today features the Lovely Layers: Deer Honey Cuts, along with a few other goodies from the latest Honey Bee Stamps Holiday Wishes Release!!
I started by die-cutting all of the layers for my deer from light brown, cream and black cardstock using the Lovely Layers: Deer Honey Cuts. I added shading with Copic markers, then glued all the layers together with Bee Creative Glue.
For the background, I die-cut a panel of blue and white dotted cardstock and the snow-like cardstock from the Winter Wonder Paper Pad with the second largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangle Die Set. The top and bottom of the snow-like panel were die-cut with dies in the Horizon Slimline Border Die Set and adhered to the bottom of the dotted panel. I also die-cut the red striped paper from the Pinstripes and Polkadots: Holiday Paper Pad with the largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangle Die Set. The trees were stamped with two colors of dye ink using the Watercolor Pines Stamp Set, then cut out with their Coordinating Dies. The trees were arranged and adhered with Bee Creative Glue and the excess was trimmed from the edges. The deer were adhered to the top panel and both panels were adhered together with Bee Creative Glue.
I thought the “Peace on Earth” sentiment from the Holiday Blooms Stamp Set was a perfect match for this serene scene. It was stamped onto white cardstock using red ink, cut out with the Coordinating Die and popped up with foam adhesive to complete the card.
My husband and dad go deer hunting on my cousin’s property, so I think this will be the perfect Christmas card to send to him & his wife!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a great week and I’ll see you soon!!
