Hello, friends and happy Monday!! I hope you all had a Happy Mother’s Day!!
It’s release day for the Picket Fence Studios April Release!! There’s a fun and inspiring hop happening over on IG…I’ll pop a link to my account at the bottom of this post so you can join in the fun and possibly win a $75 GC to the Picket Fence Studios Shop!!
There are some AMAZING shaker die sets in this release and I’m showcasing two of them on my cards today!!
I die-cut the top layer of the Margarita Shaker Die Set from matte silver cardstock and the bottom layer from a shaker sheet and a panel of ink-blended cardstock. I adhered it together using the Zesty and Ice Cubes embellishment mixes for the shaker bits. The lime was also die-cut from the ink-blended panel.
For the background, I blended Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron, Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Inks onto a panel of white cardstock with Life Changing Blender Brushes. Once the ink was dry, I die-cut the panel with the A2 Pierced Blanket Cover Plate Die and adhered it to a white card base. The margarita shaker was adhered to the background.
The sentiment, from the Make It Dirty Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, cut out with the Coordinating Die and popped up with foam adhesive.
How fun is this?!?
My second card makes me want to go on vacation to somewhere tropical!!
I started this one pretty much the same as the first one, only this time I used the Tropical Cocktail Shaker Die Set and the Strawberry Daiquiri embellishments. I blended Festive Berries Distress Oxide Ink onto a panel of white cardstock with Life Changing Blender Brushes and splattered it with diluted white gouache for the background of the shaker.
For the background, I die-cut the Scene Building: Seashore A2 Vertical Cover Plate Die from white cardstock. I used Life Changing Blender Brushes to add Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon, Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Inks to the die-cuts. I splattered them with water, then diluted white gouache. Once they were dry, I adhered them to a white card base, then adhered the shaker to the background.
The sentiment, once again from the Make It Dirty Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Die. It was also popped up with foam adhesive. There are so many great sentiments in this set!!
That’ll do it for me today!! Hop on over and join in the festivities on Instagram @mypapercutcreations. Be sure to check out the entire fabulous new release over in the Picket Fence Shop!!
Have a wonderful week!!
