Hello, friends and happy Monday!! It’s the 14th and that means it’s time for the Picket Fence Studios November Release!! There’s a fun blog hop going on over on Instagram with so much inspiration using the new release!! I’ll add my Instagram account below so you can join in the fun over there!!
My first card features the new Find Your Northern Lights Stamp Set combined with a couple of older products. This was so much fun to create!!
I began by creating the background by stamping the Find Your Northern Lights Stamp Set repeatedly onto a panel of Bristol cardstock. I stamped it each time with Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Inks, then stamped it again with Versamark and heat embossed it with sparkle embossing powder. I blended some Uncharted Mariner and Black Soot Distress Oxides onto the panel with Life Changing Blending Brushes. It was then splattered with diluted white gouache.
The polar bears and sentiment are from the A Polar Bear Christmas Stamp Set. The bears were stamped with PFS Black Hybrid Ink, colored with Copics, then cut out with the Coordinating Die. The sentiment was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, then trimmed into a narrow strip.
The A2 Scene Building Rectangle One Die was cut from white cardstock. I die-cut it again from purple cardstock, then cut the center dies from the inside pieces, creating the frames. The Northern Lights panel was adhered to a white card base and white glitter cardstock was adhered for the snow. The white die-cut panel was adhered over it and the purple frames were inlaid into the negative areas.
The polar bear die-cuts and sentiment strip were popped up with foam tape. Sequins from the All About the Galaxy Sequin Mix were the effect way to finish off my card.
My second card features the stunning Plumeria Rubra Stamp Set.
I stamped the Plumeria Rubra Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored it with Copic markers, then trimmed about 1/4” from the left side of the panel. I adhered a strip of black & white striped patterned paper onto a white card base and adhered the panel over it.
The sentiment, from the Baby Butterfly Beauties Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink and cut out with its Coordinating Die. I popped the sentiment up with foam tape.
The final step was adding lots of sequins from the All About the Blues Sequin Mix.
I am IN LOVE with this beautiful floral image and can’t wait to color it in ALL of the mediums!!
That’s it for me today!! Hop on over to join in the fun on Instagram!! You can get started on my account @mypapercutcreations!! Be sure to check out the entire release over in the Picket Fence Shop!!
