Hello, friends and happy Thursday!! I hope you’re having a great week!!
It’s release day for the Picket Fence Studios September Release!! There’s a fun and inspiring hop happening over on IG…I’ll pop a link to my account at the bottom of this post so you can join in the fun and possibly win a $75 GC to the Picket Fence Studios Shop!!
There is soooo much Christmas goodness in this release!! I have two festive holiday cards to share with you today!!
My first card features the darling Merry Good Gnome Stamp Set & Coordinating Dies!! Who doesn’t love a good gnome?!?
I began by stamping the adorable gnome and sentiment from the Merry Good Gnome Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored him with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen and used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out.
For the background, I added Arctic Fox Paper Glaze Luxe to a panel of heavyweight white cardstock. Once it was dry, I trimmed it to create the snow bank and adhered it to a panel of cardstock from the Skies of Snowflakes Toner Foiling Cardstock. Although this is meant to be used for foiling, I love the patterns used as patterned paper. I die cut the A2 Giant Christmas Tree from green cardstock and spread a bit of Arctic Fox Paper Glaze Luxe onto the tree for a snowy effect. Once it was dry, I adhered it to the background with liquid glue.
The gnome and sentiment were both popped up with foam tape. I added lots of clay snowflakes from the Santa’s Cookies Sequin Mix Plus to finish off the card.
My second card features the Santa Claus Comes Tonight Stamp Set…
I began this one the same as the last…the Santa Claus Comes Tonight Stamp was stamped onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. He was colored with Copics and cut out with a pair of scissors. I also added highlights with a white gel pen.
For the background on this one, I spread the Golden Ring Paper Glaze Luxe onto red cardstock through the Reindeer Games Stencil with a palette knife and splattered it with Liquid Gold Paper Splatter Watercolor and a paint brush. Once dry, it was trimmed slightly and adhered to an A2 white card base. Santa was adhered with liquid glue.
The sentiment is also from the Santa Claus Comes Tonight Set. It was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, trimmed into a rectangle and popped up with foam adhesive.
That’ll do it for me!! Hop on over and join in the festivities on Instagram @mypapercutcreations. Be sure to check out the entire fabulous new release over in the Picket Fence Shop!!
Have a great Thursday!!
