Hello, friends!! It’s release day for the Pretty Pink Posh August Release!! The release features some amazing Halloween goodies, from shakers to background stencils plus adorable stamp & die sets!! My card today combines several of the new sets…the Cat Holder Die Set, Halloween Holder Additions Die Set, Halloween Greetings Stamps & Coordinating Dies, Halloween Candy Hearts Stamps & Coordinating Die Set and the Spooky Trees Background Stencil!!

I began by die-cutting the elements in the Cat Holder and the Halloween Holder Additions Die Sets from gray, purple, green, yellow, pink, white and matte gold cardstock. I added shading with Distress Inks, highlights with a white gel pen, then adhered them together using liquid glue and set them aside to work on the background.

For the background, I blended Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed and Twisted Citron Distress Inks onto an A2 panel of smooth white cardstock. The Spooky Trees Stencil was stenciled over the background with Black Soot Distress Ink. I trimmed the panel slightly, added a panel of vellum over it, then adhered it to an A2 panel of dark purple cardstock. I used a die from the Fringe Pumpkin Die Set to create my “grass” from black cardstock and adhered it to the bottom. The previously created die-cuts were all adhered to the background with liquid glue, except the tiny spider. It was popped up with foam tape.

The sentiment, from the Halloween Greetings Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with dark purple dye ink. It was cut out with the Coordinating Die and popped up with foam tape. The heart from the Halloween Candy Hearts Stamp Set was also stamped onto white cardstock with purple ink and cut out with its Coordinating DIe. It was tucked under the arm of the cat and adhered with foam tape. I used a black glaze pen and a white gel pen to add shine and highlights to the cat’s eyes. Black clay stars from the Boo To You Clay Confetti Mix finish off the card.

This turned out even better than I pictured it in my head!! Don’t you just love it when that happens?!?
