Welcome to the collab hop with Scrappy Tails Crafts and Pear Blossom Press! This is the first time I’ve made a light-up card and the Pear Blossom Press Lights make it so easy!! I’m definitely addicted!! Let’s get to my project!!

I started by doing all of my die-cutting. I cut the base for the house twice, the roof once and the roof connector once from kraft cardstock using the A7 Storefront Pop-Up Card Die Set. I folded them along the score lines and added some Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Ink to the edges. I also diluted the same ink colors, along with white pigment ink, and splattered them on with a paintbrush.

Most of the other components were all cut from light pink, dark pink, light blue, green, ivory and white cardstock using the A7 Storefront Gingerbread House Add-On Dies. The wreath was the only element not in that set. It was die-cut from green cardstock using a die in the Flower Shop Add-on Die Set. I added some Grit Paste and Rock Candy Glitter to the “snow” on the die-cuts to add a little sparkle.

The windows were die-cut from the base and the roof and then backed with vellum. Once dry, all of the die-cuts were adhered, as shown. The sugar cookie tree was popped up with foam tape to allow for the dimension from the snow.

I adhered the Pear Blossom Press EZ-Light to the front of the storefront down on the bottom right corner with score tape. This unit includes three lights, so it was perfect for the three windows in my gingerbread house!! The lights were adhered to the centers of the windows with liquid glue and the excess wires were taped into place with scotch tape along the inside of the card. (Be sure to leave excess wire for the top window, to allow it to lay flat for mailing.) I placed a green cardstock circle embossed with “push” over the button to activate the lights.

I adhered a white cardstock panel to the back of my house to write a personal message, then adhered the snow bank and the gum drops along the bottom.
