Happy Saturday, fellow crafters!! I hope your weekend is off to a great start!! I’m sharing an ocean themed card that is part of a hop happening over on Instagram to celebrate the Sunkissed Memories Release from Alex Syberia Designs!!

I started by stamping the adorable ocean-themed images from the Underwater Wonders Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly black ink. I colored them with Copics, added highlights with a white gel pen, then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies.

For the background, I blended Tumble Glass, Mermaid Lagoon and Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxide Inks onto a panel of white cardstock and die-cut it with the Mermaid’s Melody Cover Die. Another panel of white cardstock was hand trimmed for the floor of the ocean and blended with Vintage Photo and Antique Linen Distress Oxides. Both panels were splattered with clean water, picking up the excess with a paper towel. The floor was splattered with diluted Vintage Photo and diluted white gouache was splattered onto both panels. Once dry, both panels were adhered to an A2 white card base.

All of the die-cuts were arranged and adhered with liquid glue. The sentiment, from the Sunkissed Memories Stamp Set, was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. It was cut out with the Coordinating Dies and popped up with foam tape. I blackened the eyes with a black gel pen and added lots of iridescent clear baubles to resemble bubbles and add a ton of shine and dimension.
