Hello, fellow crafters and happy Friday!! There’s a fun hop happening on IG to celebrate the Scrappy Tails Crafts Set Sail Release!! This release has a nautical theme that is perfect for masculine cards!! There’s something for everyone!!

I created a 5″ x 7″ sympathy card that features the A7 Seashell Cover Plate Die!! I can’t think of anything more comforting or soothing than the beach and the ocean…perfect to convey your condolences.

I began by die-cutting the border and sentiment three times from white cardstock and the shadow layer of the sentiment once from vellum using the A7 Seashell Cover Plate Die Set. I stacked and adhered the layers together with liquid glue.

Next, I blended Vintage Photo, Antique Linen, Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Inks onto a panel of white cardstock. I splattered it with diluted Mermaid Lagoon and Vintage Photo Distress Oxides and white gouache. Once it was dry, I die-cut it with an A7 rectangle die and adhered it to a white card base.

The border and sentiment were adhered to the background panel with liquid glue. I added a few white pearls to finish it off.
