I’m sharing a card today that features the Lovely Layers: Fish Dies, Lovely Layers: Tank Dies, Lovely Layers: Tank Aquarium Add-on Die Set and the Pet-tastic Stamps & Coordinating Dies!! These sets were perfect to create a colorful aquarium birthday card!!

I started by die-cutting all the fish from the Lovely Layers: Fish Dies and the accessories from the Lovely Layers: Tank Aquarium Add-on Die Set from white cardstock. I used Copic markers to add color and shading to the die-cuts, then set them aside to work on the aquarium.

The layers of the aquarium were also die-cut from white cardstock using the Lovely Layers: Tank Die Set and colored with Copics. I also die-cut it a second time from Bristol smooth cardstock and blended the inner panel with Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Inks using blending brushes. I splattered it with clean water and picked up the excess with a paper towel. For the sand in the bottom of the aquarium, I tore the top edge of the white panel and blended it with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, splattered it with water and diluted white bleed-proof ink. I traced around the top edge of the aquarium onto a top-folding card base and cut it with my scissors to make it a shaped card and adhered all the elements to it using Bee Creative Glue.

The sentiment, from the Pet-tastic Stamp Set, was stamped onto black cardstock with Bee Creative Embossing Ink and embossed with white embossing powder. It was cut out with the Coordinating Die and popped up on the top of the aquarium with foam tape. The Crystal Glimmer Enamel Stickers make the perfect bubbles to finish off the card.
