Hello again, friends!! We may be heading into the fall season, but I’m hanging on to summer for as long as I can!! Next weekend will be almost 90 degrees here in the midwest!! I couldn’t let summer end without creating a card with the absolutely adorable Sea You At The Beach Stamp Set from My Pretty Things!!

I began by stamping the images in the Sea You At The Beach Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Intense Black Ink. I colored them with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. I did fussy cut out the tiny critters to go in the van so there wouldn’t be a white outline around them, then adhered them with liquid glue.

For the background, I blended Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Inks onto the bottom of an A2 panel of white cardstock. Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Inks were blended onto the top of the panel. The same inks were diluted and splattered onto the background, along with white bleed-proof ink. The panel was die-cut with a rectangle die and adhered to an A2 panel of red cardstock.

The sentiment is from the Hey There Sunshine Stamps & Coordinating Dies. “Sending” was stamped directly onto the background with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink. “Sunshine” was stamped onto white cardstock with the same ink and cut out with the Coordinating Die. The van and trees were adhered with liquid glue, while the sun, lion and “sunshine” sentiment were popped up with foam tape. I added a bit of shine to the critters’ eyes with a black gel pen to finish this one off.
