Hello, again fellow crafters!! I’m sharing another card today featuring the Scrappy Tails Crafts latest release!! This time I wanted to use the base of the A7 Trifold Pop Up Card Base Die Set to create an A7 bi-fold dome shaped card!!
I began by die-cutting two of the dome shaped bases from heavyweight white cardstock using the A7 Trifold Pop Up Card Base Die Set. I trimmed the tab off of both of the die-cuts and saved one to create the hinge to adhere both of the base layers together. I trimmed the slanted potion off of the tab, then scored and folded it along the score line. I adhered it to the back of the front layer and the front of the back layer along the left side to adhere both of the panels together with the hinge on the left.
Next, I pulled out the A7 Fall Tree Pop Up Dies and die-cut the arched tree die from white cardstock. I backed it with blue cardstock, then adhered it to the card base. The Winterscape Rustic Log Cabin, Winterscape Deer Silhouettes and the Winterscape Trees & Deer Die Sets were used to decorate the front of the card. All of the elements were cut from white, yellow and two colors of brown cardstock. A layer of heavyweight white cardstock was adhered to the die-cuts that hang off the edges to add stability. All of the pieces were adhered together then added to the card base, being sure the die-cuts that hang off the edges don’t extend past 5″ so it will still fit in an A7 envelope.
The panel was splattered with lots of white diluted bleed-proof ink. The top layer of the sentiment, from the Winterscape Trees & Deer Die Set, was cut once from brown cardstock and once from heavyweight white cardstock and the shadow layer was cut three times from heavyweight white cardstock. They were stacked and adhered together with liquid glue, then added to the front of the card. Lastly, Frosted Lace Stickles was added to the trees, roof and snow to create the glistening snow.
You can see a tri-fold pop-up card that I created with the A7 Trifold Pop Up Card Base Die Set HERE.
That does it for me today!! Have a wonderful Monday and I’ll see you soon!!
