Happy Friday, crafty friends!! What do you think about the Trinity Stamps Autumn Release? Isn’t it AMAZING?!?
I just adore all of the critters in the sets and wanted to try some no-line coloring on the ones in the Forest Friends stamp set!! No-line coloring is one of my favorite ways to color, although it does take the longest!
I stamped the images from Forest Friends with light ink onto Bristol paper, colored them with watercolor markers and cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. I die-cut the wagon and wheels from white distress woodgrain cardstock and the centers of the wheels from glossy black mirror cardstock. For the background, I started with a light blue panel of cardstock that was cut with a scalloped rectangle die. I used the Autumn Leaves Stencils and Distress Oxide Inks with a Blending Buddy to stencil the branches and leaves. I also lightly applied ink to the wagon to bring out the woodgrain.
For the ground, I drew along the edge of one of the Layered Birch Stencils with a pencil on Bristol paper and cut it out. Then it was inked with Distress Oxides and a Blending Buddy. The bottom edge was cut with the same scalloped rectangle die. The greeting is from Autumn Sentiments and it was white heat embossed onto a black cardstock strip and trimmed into a banner. All of the elements were adhered as shown. A black glaze pen adds some shine to the critter’s eyes and noses, while a white gel pen adds some highlights. I really think this makes the images come to life!! Lastly, a few Feeling Mushy Mushroom Sprinkles add a nice touch to the bottom of the card and ties all of the red details together.
That’s it!! I just love the way the wagon turned out with the woodgrain cardstock!!
I hope you have a fantastic weekend and I’ll see you soon!!!
