Hello again, fellow crafters!! Spellbinders is celebrating their 20th birthday with the Birthday Celebrations Collection!! I have two cards to share with you using this fantastic collection!! I had soooo much fun mixing and matching these products!! Let’s start with these fabulous balloons!!
I began by die-cutting all of the balloons from red, orange, yellow, green, blue and black cardstock using the Color Block Balloons Die Set. The solid shapes were die-cut from white cardstock and the decorative stripes and swirls were adhered to them.
Next, I die-cut the sentiment from the same colors of cardstock using the Stylized Happy Birthday Dies. I also die-cut the letters three more times from white cardstock and adhered them behind the colored ones for dimension.
The scalloped layer was die-cut from white cardstock using a die from the Mini Slimline Envelope Nested Card Creator Die Set, then it was embossed with the Party Spots Embossing Folder. The bottom layer was die-cut from black cardstock using a die from the same set. The sentiment was adhered with liquid glue and the balloons were popped up with foam tape.
What’s a birthday celebration without cake…am I right?!?
How fun is this?!?
I used the Topsy Turvy Cake Die Set for this one!! All of the parts were die-cut from red, orange, yellow, green, blue and white cardstock and adhered together to build the cake.
The background was embossed onto white cardstock with the Hand Drawn Scallops Embossing Folder. It was trimmed slightly smaller than A2 and adhered to a panel of black cardstock, then a white top-folding card base. The cake was popped up onto the background with foam adhesive.
The sentiment is from the Awesome Birthday Stamp Set. It was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and fussy cut. I adhered it onto the cake with even more foam tape, for lots of dimension.
Thanks so much for dropping in today!! There are many more amazing goodies in this collection!! Be sure to check them out HERE!!
Happy 20th birthday to Spellbinders!!!
I love all these stamps and dies. They’re simply adorable! I’m just so sad that I can’t use them, I very much dislike the little A2 cards. Couldn’t you make all of these for A7 card size as well? Please?!
Thank you LaVonne!!♥️ You can absolutely use these on an A7 card!! The embossing folders are 6” x 9” and you can make as many layers for the cake and as many balloons as you want to fill up any size card!! Have a great weekend!!
