Hello, friends and Happy Valentine’s Day!! I hope you had a great weekend!!

There’s a new collection available from Spellbinders, it’s called Bibi’s Butterflies and I have a card to share featuring the Butterfly Card Creator Die Set!! This shaped card will fit in a 5″ x 7″ envelope. It’s always fun and unexpected to send a shaped card and this one is perfect for Spring!!

I began by die-cutting the large butterfly shape from white cardstock once and the body from white cardstock three times. The smaller die was used to cut the top layer from patterned paper.

To create the card base, I scored a piece of 8.5″ x 11″ heavyweight white cardstock at 5″. I die-cut the larger butterfly die from it, allowing the top of the wings to hang over the scored edge. This creates a base with a hinge. The white layer was glued to it, as was the patterned paper and body of the butterfly.

Next, I die-cut the flowers and leaves from yellow patterned paper and yellow, pink and green cardstock using dies included in the Butterfly Card Creator Set. They were arranged and adhered to the front of the card. The top layer of the sentiment was cut from white cardstock three times and the bottom layer from pink cardstock once using the “hello” die in the Layered Mix & Match Sentiments Die Set. They were stacked and adhered together, then adhered to the front of the card.

I added some iridescent baubles to the centers of the flowers and called it done!!
