Hello, crafty friends!! I hope you had a great weekend!!

I absolutely love making Halloween cards, even though I don’t send many…is that strange?!? I think it’s the color combinations that I love so much!! The Spellbinders Boo Dance Party Collection is soooo much fun!! I have two cards to share with you today featuring goodies from that collection!!

My first features the Dancin’ Ghost Etched Dies!! The legs on this adorable ghost swing from side to side!!!

I die-cut all of the components for my ghost from purple, orange, yellow, green, black and white cardstock using the Dancin’ Ghost Etched Dies and assembled all of the pieces together, as shown. The sentiment, also included in the set, was die-cut from black cardstock.

For the background, I embossed the Radiant Burst Embossing Folder onto yellow cardstock. I trimmed it slightly and adhered it to a white top-folding card base with the debossed side up. A foam dot was placed in the circle that connects the legs and the rest of the ghost was popped up with foam tape. Be sure to leave the sides free to allow the legs to swing.

The sentiment die-cut was adhered under the ghost with liquid glue and this card was finished!!

My second card features the Haunted House Etched Dies…

I began by die-cutting the house, bats, moon, ghosts and clouds from yellow, black and white cardstock using the Haunted House Etched Dies.

For the background, I blended Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Inks onto an A2 panel of Bristol smooth cardstock. Once dry, I splattered the panel with diluted white gouache. I trimmed a piece of black cardstock to approximately 1.75″ x 4.25″, white heat embossed the sentiment onto it and adhered it to the bottom of the ink-blended panel.

The house, moon and clouds were adhered with liquid adhesive, while the ghosts and bats were popped up with foam tape.
