Hello everyone!! I was super excited to guest post for Spellbinders last week!! I shared two cards that featured the new Fall and Halloween 2020 Collection and thought I would share them here, in case you missed it!!
With temperatures in the 90 degree range all week in the Midwest, it seems as if Fall is so far away!! However, if it goes by as fast as the first half of 2020, it will be here before we know it!! Why not get a jump-start on all of your Fall & Halloween cardmaking?!?
My first card is perfect for fall…the season of thankfulness.
I started by hot foiling the Autumn Leaf Border Glimmer Hot Foil Plate and the Stylish Script Thankful Glimmer Hot Foil Plate onto a panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock with Espresso Bean Foil. I LOVE this color of foil for Autumnal cards!!
I decided to add a little loose watercoloring to the leaf border with Distress Inks and also added some splatters in the same colors. The Modern Lines Glimmer Hot Foil Plate was foiled with the same Espresso Bean Foil onto another panel of Bristol paper. It was trimmed into a narrow strip and placed under my watercolored panel to add more detail to the left-hand side of the card.

My second is a Halloween card!! I absolutely adore the car and truck die-cuts that Spellbinders offers and simply can’t resist the add-ons to them!! This Die D-Lites Halloween Sunday Drive Etched Die Set is no exception!
I die-cut all of the elements from purple, red, white, black, frosted silver, kraft, green and black glitter cardstock using the Shapeabilities Sunday Drive Etched Dies and Die D-Lites Halloween Sunday Drive Etched Dies. I also cut the spider webs using the Spider Web Corners Card Creator Etched Dies with black glitter paper. (I die-cut one backwards so I would have the same solid diamond pattern on each side of my card.)
For the background, I blended Distress Oxide Inks onto a panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock and splattered it with diluted Perfect Pearls and white gouache. I also hand-cut a “hill” and blended it with Distress Oxide Ink. The spider webs were adhered flat with liquid adhesive, while all of the other elements were popped up with foam adhesive.
