Hello, crafty friends and happy Monday!! I hope you had a great weekend!!
I have a card to share with you today featuring the Embossing Folder of the Month from Spellbinders!! I love adding texture to the background of my cards, so I am LOVING this new club kit!! It’s only $9 per month and you can cancel at any time!! The large size is also so versatile!!
I began by running the embossing folder through my Platinum 6 with a panel of white cardstock. I actually used the back side in which the design is debossed into the cardstock.
I used a brayer to pick up Salvaged Patina, Kitsch Flamingo and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink and rolled it onto the cardstock. I also added a little Pixie Dust to a baby wipe, picked it up with the brayer and rolled it on for a little sparkle. If I had sprayed it on, the sparkle would cover the entire panel. Using a brayer keeps the Pixie Dust only on the raised areas. The panel was trimmed slightly and adhered to a white, top-folding card base.
The sentiment is from the Mix and Match Sentiment Die Set. The bottom layer was die-cut from black cardstock and the top layer from silver glitter cardstock once and heavyweight white cardstock twice. They were adhered together and added diagonally onto the card front.
I tried to capture the shine in the next shot…
If you love adding texture to your cards like I do, the Embossing Folder of the Month Kit may be perfect for you!! There are so many techniques that you can do with embossing folders!!
