Spellbinders February 2022 Small Die of the Month

Hello, friends and happy weekend!!!

I have a card to share with you today featuring the February Small Die of the Month Kit, “Oval Stitch and Border”, from Spellbinders!!! I was super excited to see another stitching die this month!!

I began by die-cutting the largest oval in the February Small Die of the Month Kit from white cardstock. I also die-cut the smallest stitching oval from white cardstock and die-cut the inner and outer portion, leaving a scalloped stitched frame. Both of the ovals were stitched with two strands of pink embroidery floss.

For the background, I used the February Embossing Folder of the Month. I ran the embossing folder through my Platinum 6 with white cardstock. I trimmed it to slightly smaller than A2 and adhered it to an A2 panel of pink cardstock, then a top-folding card base. The larger oval was adhered to the background with liquid adhesive and the oval frame was popped up with foam adhesive.

The flowers and sentiment are from the Layered Mix and Match Sentiment Die Set. The flowers were die-cut from two different shades of pink cardstock and the leaves from green cardstock. They were arranged and adhered around the larger oval. The bottom layer of the sentiment was die-cut twice from heavyweight white cardstock and the top layer from pink cardstock once and heavyweight white cardstock twice. They were layered and adhered together for dimension. A few pale yellow baubles were added to the centers of the flowers and I was finished!

I really love all of the dimension on this card!! All of the layers really make it stand out!!
