Hello, crafters and happy Sunday!! I have a card to share with you today featuring the February Clear Stamp of the Month, “Old School Notes”, from Spellbinders!!
The stamp set contains the cutest typewriter, a small heart, several small flowers and foliage, along with five individual sentiments. I combined it with the new February Embossing Folder of the Month on my card today.
I began by stamping the typewriter from the February Stamp of the Month onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly ink. I colored it with Copics, then fussy cut it out. I colored the flowers and foliage stamps with markers, spritzed them with water and stamped them onto white cardstock. I also fussy cut those out. There is a February Stamp & Die of the Month, but I didn’t have it, so I just cut them out by hand. The sentiment was stamped onto white cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink, then trimmed to a size to add behind the typewriter to make it look likes it’s coming out of it.
Next, I embossed a panel of light pink cardstock with the February Embossing Folder of the Month and trimmed it slightly smaller than A2. I adhered it to a white, top-folding card base.
The typewriter, heart and flowers were adhered with liquid adhesive. I added some foam tape under the top of the paper coming out of the typewriter for dimension. I added a few highlights to the typewriter with a white gel pen and this card was finished.
