Hello, fellow crafters!! Welcome to the Spellbinders January 2021 Clubs Blog Hop!! You should have arrived from Yasmin Diaz’s Blog. I have your next stop, as well as a complete list at the end of this post (plus giveaway info). There is tons of inspiration, so let’s get started!!
I will be working with the Large Die of the Month and Stamp of the Month kits for my card today…
For my last card that I created with the January Large Die of the Month, I used tons of the little die-cut flowers that are included in the kit. (You can see that card HERE.) So, I wanted to make today’s card more masculine.
I began by die-cutting the large slimline die from red cardstock. I stamped the Love You and striped hearts from the Stamp of the Month with Versamark Ink and heat embossed them with red glitter embossing powder, then cut them out with a die in the Large Die of the Month Kit. To emulate the striped hearts, I trimmed red glitter cardstock into thin strips and adhered them behind the top and bottom rows of small hearts on the slimline die-cut before adhering it to a white slimline cardbase.
The large red hearts that were left from the slimline die-cut were popped back into their openings with foam tape. Then the embossed hearts were adhered to them with even more foam tape for extra dimension.
