Hello, fellow crafters!! I hope your week is going well!!
I have three cards to share with you today featuring the January 2023 Large Die of the Month, Die of the Month and Embossing Folder of the Month from Spellbinders!!
My first card features the Large Die of the Month and the Embossing Folder of the Month!! I’m IN LOVE with this die-set!! I will get plenty of use from it!!
I die-cut the flowers, leaves and sentiment from white, green, yellow cardstock using the Large Die of the Month. I also die-cut the sentiment banner three more times from heavyweight white cardstock and stacked them behind the sentiment one. I blended Spun Sugar and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink onto the centers of the white flowers with a blending brush.
For the background, I embossed the Embossing Folder of the Month onto a panel of light pink cardstock. I trimmed it slightly and adhered it to an A2 white card base.
All of the leaves and smaller flowers were adhered with liquid adhesive and the three larger flowers were popped up with foam tape.
My second card combines the Die of the Month and Embossing Folder of the Month!!
I die-cut the &, flowers and sentiments from pink, yellow and two colors of green cardstock. I wanted the sentiment to stand out a bit more, so I added some white pigment ink by dragging the ink pad directly over the sentiment strips.
The Embossing Folder of the Month of embossed onto white cardstock and trimmed slightly. I adhered it, debossed side up, onto an A2 panel of pink cardstock, then a white card base.
The & and flowers were adhered with liquid glue. I adhered three more heavyweight white cardstock die-cut banners behind the sentiment and adhered them to the card for dimension. White pearls were added to a couple of flowers in each grouping and this one was finished.
My final card combines the Large Die of the Month and the Embossing Folder of the Month with a sentiment from the Clear Stamp & Die of the Month!!
I love the way the flowers turned out in my first card, so I cut them from white cardstock again using dies from the Large Die of the Month and blended the same Distress Oxide Inks onto them. The leaves were die-cut from two colors of green and the centers of the flowers from yellow cardstock.
The background was embossed onto pink cardstock with the Embossing Folder of the Month. It was trimmed slightly and adhered to an A2 white card base with the debossed side up.
The leaves and two smaller flowers were adhered with liquid glue and the large one was popped up with foam tape. The sentiment was stamped onto white cardstock with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink using a stamp in the Clear Stamp & Die of the Month, then cut out with the included die. I also die-cut three more layers from heavyweight white cardstock, adhered them behind the stamped one, then adhered it to the front of the card. A few yellow pearls were adhered to the centers of the flowers, for the finishing touch.
