Hello, friends and happy Friday!!
As you probably know by now, I absolutely LOVE florals!! The Garden Favorites Collection from Spellbinders is right up my alley!! The dimensional cards you can get from this collection is just unreal!! My 5″ x 7″ card today features the Clematis Etched Dies from the Garden Favorites Collection by Susan Tierney-Cockburn!!
I actually have a clematis in my backyard and I look forward to seeing it bloom each spring!! It produces the most beautiful purple blooms!!

I began by die-cutting the petals, leaves and stamen from white cardstock using the Clematis Etched Dies. The dies are stamped with the number of times that you need to die-cut them for a single flower. I cut enough for three flowers and several leaves. I blended Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet & Villainous Potion Distress Oxide Inks onto the petals with blending brushes. The leaves were blended with Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxides. A combination of Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn and Villainous Potion Inks were added to the stamen. There is a very informative video HERE that I followed to shape and assemble the clematis.

Next, I die-cut the Scallop Facade Frame from white cardstock and splattered it with the same purple Distress Oxide Inks that I used on the blooms. I die-cut the solid layer from pale purple patterned paper and adhered the scalloped frame to it. To make the shaped card base, I scored and folded an 8.5″ x 11″ piece of cardstock in half and die-cut the solid scalloped die from it, keeping the folded edge of the card base inside of the cut line of the die.

The sentiment, from the Honey Bee Stamps My Favorite Flower Stamp Set, was stamped onto the scalloped panel with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I arranged and adhered the flowers and leaves as shown, adhering them in the centers only. This allowed the flowers to pop-up off of the front of the card for even more dimension.

I am thrilled with how this turned out!! Obviously, it will need to be delivered by hand or packaged in a box to keep the flowers from being smashed!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a great Friday and I’ll see you soon!!
WOW, WOW, WOW! Girl, you rocked this card like a BOSS! Absolutely gorgeous! And it’s in my favorite color. 💜
