Hello, crafty friends!! I hope your week is off to a great start!! Spring has definitely sprung in our neck of the woods!! The grass is turning green and the birds are chirping…my favorite time of the year!! It’s nice to be able to sit outside and escape from all of the craziness that’s going on in the world!
I hope today’s card for Honey Bee conveys that light, airy spring feeling!
I began by stamping the images from the Birds and the Bees stamp set onto white cardstock with InkOn3 Fadeout Ink for some no-line coloring. After coloring them with Copics, I cut them out using the Coordinating Dies.
For the background, Tumbled Glass Distress Ink was blended onto Bristol Smooth cardstock with a Blending Brush and the clouds from the Outdoor Scene Builder Stencils.
The greeting was created using the Spring stamp set and Spring Dies. “Spring” was cut from pink and yellow cardstock, while “has sprung” was white heat embossed onto a pink strip.
The branch, hive and flowers were adhered directly to the background; then the greeting and bees were popped up with foam tape for a little dimension. A yellow gel pen adds some detail to the centers of the flowers and that’s it!!
Did you see the ADORABLE stamp sets and dies that Honey Bee released yesterday for pre-order to benefit Feeding America? You can check them out HERE and do a small part in helping food banks battle the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Have a great week and I’ll see you soon!!
