Hey, friends…happy Thursday!! I hope this finds you all well!!
I can’t believe it’s the last day of March!! This year is flying by!! Springtime is the time that I like everything “fresh”, including the scents in my home. I switch from cozy candles and melts to fresh scents like lemon!! I’ve had the Lemon & Leaves Layering Stencils from Trinity Stamps for a while now and I figured this was a great time to break them out!!
I began by inking the layers of the Lemon & Leaves Stencils onto Bristol cardstock with Blending Buddy Brushes and Distress Oxide Inks. I used Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Rustic Wilderness and Vintage Photo. Don’t you just love the way these layer?!?
Next, I had to come up with a sentiment! “Squeeze the Day” came to mind, so I pulled out the Marshmallow Alphabet Die Set to create my own sentiment. I die-cut the letters from heavyweight black cardstock three times, then stacked and adhered them together. For the rest of the sentiment, I had to get creative! I went through my stash and found “the” on the Best Place to Be Stamp Set and “day” on the Sending Smooches Stamp Set. I stamped them onto Bristol cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and trimmed them into narrow strips.
In order to fit my sentiment on my card, I needed to make it slimline size. I die-cut the ink-blended lemon panel with the second largest die in the Slimline Stitched Card Panels and Windows Set. The scalloped frame was cut from black cardstock with the largest scalloped rectangle in the Slimline Scalloped Card Panels and Banners Die Set. I made my card base 3″ X 8″ and adhered the die-cut panels to it.
The stacked die-cut letters were adhered to the front of the card and the sentiment strips were popped up with foam tape.
I added some Limeon Fruit Sprinkle Embellishments and called this one done!!
I really love how this turned out!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! I appreciate it!!
