Stained Glass Christmas Card – Honey Bee

Good morning, fellow cardmakers!! I hope you are having a great week!!

I am back with another card featuring new products from the Season to Sparkle release from Honey Bee . I love the way all of these products mix and match to create so many different looks for the holidays!!

I decided to create a faux stained glass panel using the Stained Glass Coverplate Honey Cut

The amazing Jennifer McGuire has a step-by-step video for this technique. I’ve used this technique on a floral card in the past, so when I saw the Stained Glass Coverplate Die, I knew it would be perfect for this!!

I cut the Stained Glass Coverplate from white cardstock five times. After adhering one of the die-cut panels to the front of a white cardbase, I colored in all of the negative areas with Copic markers (getting my coloring in for thedailymarker challenge). I applied Versamark and silver embossing powder to one of the die-cut panels two times and adhered it to the top of the three white ones, which were also stacked and adhered together. (I used spray adhesive to glue all of them together.) I filled each “well” with Nuvo Crystal Glaze and set it aside to dry.

For my greeting, I die-cut the Believe Honey Cut from black and white cardstock and adhered them together. The rest of the greeting is from the Believe Stamp Set and it was white heat embossed onto black cardstock strips. After the glaze was dry, I adhered the die-cut sentiment and sentiment strips with foam adhesive.

I absolutely love the way this turned out!! It really looks like stained glass, with the silver embossing and shine from the glaze!! I encourage you to go watch Jennifer McGuire’s video, if you haven’t seen it yet!! I think it was from last year, but it’s a good one!!

Have a great week and I’ll see you soon!!!
