Stitched Bookmarks – Honey Bee Stamps

Hello, friends!! I hope your week is off to a great start!! I have something different than a card to share with you today!! I created a couple of stitched bookmarks created with the In Stitches: Bookmarked Collection of dies from Honey Bee Stamps to send in my niece’s Christmas package!! I’ll try to explain how I made them the best that I can…lol!!

I began by die-cutting the pierced triangle in the In Stitches: Bookmarked Die Set and the snowflake insert from the In Stitches: Bookmarked Snowflake Dies from light blue cardstock. The pierced triangle in the In Stitches: Bookmarked Die Set and the heart insert from the In Stitches: Bookmarked Love & Light Die Set was cut from heavyweight white cardstock.

The snowflake from the In Stitches: Bookmarked Snowflake Dies was cut from white cardstock and the hearts from the In Stitches: Bookmarked Love & Light Die Set were cut from red cardstock. The snowflake was stitched to the triangular die-cut with metallic silver Diamant thread and the hearts to the white one with two strands of white embroidery thread.

I die-cut another one of each of the stitched triangles, as well as the die with two stitched edges from each color with dies from the In Stitches: Bookmarked Die Set. I stitched the diagonal edge of the two stitched triangles together with silver and red thread (to keep the corner of the book from catching on the stitching), then stitched the two sides of the back triangle on with the same colors of thread to finish them off.

That’s it for me today!! I hope I explained it well enough for you to understand how I made them!! These would be super cute made with felt!!

Have a great Tuesday!!
