Happy Wednesday, fellow crafters!! I may or may not be addicted to the Pretty Pink Posh Shaker Dies and Shaker Beads!! (I’ll let you decide…I have two more cards to share with them this month…ha!!) My colorful birthday card features the Butterfly Shaker Die, Butterfly Background Stencil, Summer Script Die, Sentiment Strips: Birthday Stamp Set and the Paradise Shaker Beads!!

I began by building my shakers. The Butterfly Shaker Die was cut twelve times from heavyweight white cardstock to create two shakers. I traced around the die-cuts onto acetate and a panel of white cardstock and fussy cut those out. I stacked and adhered two stacks of five layers together with liquid glue and adhered the fussy cut layer to the back of each one, then filled wells with Paradise Shaker Beads. The acetate and top die-cuts were then adhered to the top to complete the shakers.

For the background, I blended Picked Raspberry, Kitsch Flamingo and Carved Pumpkin Distress Inks onto an A2 panel of white cardstock with a light hand. The Butterfly Background Stencil was added over the background and I blended over it with the same inks, using a heavier hand this time. I trimmed each side and adhered it to an A2 white card base.

The Summer Script Die was cut five times from heavyweight cardstock, stacked and adhered together with liquid glue. “Birthday wishes” is from the Sentiment Strips: Birthday Stamp Set. It was white heat embossed onto bright pink cardstock and cut out with a die from the Sentiment Strips Die Set. To finish, the stacked die-cut sentiment and butterflies were adhered with liquid glue and the sentiment strip was popped up with foam tape.

This bright color combo and butterfly shakers are perfect for a summer birthday, don’t you think?!?
