Hello, fellow crafters!! Have you snagged the new Summer Blooms Papercrafting Kit from Trinity Stamps? This kit is such a great value and so much fun to work with!!! I have a card to share today that combines elements from the kit with the First Blooms Stamp Set. Both stamp sets were designed by Paper Starr, so they coordinate beautifully!!
I began by placing the images from the Summer Blooms and First Bloom stamp sets on the door of my Misti, inking them up with the ink cubes included in the kit, plus Peacock Blue and Marigold Orange inks. I spritzed the stamps lightly with water and stamped them onto a panel of watercolor paper. Once they were dry, I cut them out with the Summer Blooms and First Bloom Coordinating Dies.
I die-cut the striped and polka dot patterned paper from the kit with the two largest dies in the Modern Embossed Rectangle Stack Dies, adhered them together, then to a top-folding card base.
The sentiment was die-cut from pink cardstock and watercolor paper (I wanted it to match the flowers) using dies from the A7 Envelope Builder Die Set. I also cut the bottom layer two more times from white cardstock, then stacked and adhered them all together.
From there, all I had to do was arrange all of the elements and adhere them to the card front with liquid adhesive. The butterfly was popped up with foam tape.
I trimmed away the die-cuts that hung off the edges of the card base and added some of the Summer Sparkles Rhinestones that are exclusive to the kit with a Pick Up Stick.
I really love the watercolor look that spritzing the stamps with water creates! I hope you’ll give it a try!!
Thank you so much for spending some time with me today!! Have a great weekend and I’ll see you soon!!
