Happy weekend, crafters!! I hope you have some fun, crafty plans this weekend!! I absolutely adore all the cake pops products from Pretty Pink Posh!! My card today combines the Layered Christmas Cake Pops Stencils and the Christmas Cake Pops Die Set!!

I started by creating the background by stenciling the Layered Christmas Cake Pops Stencil Set onto a panel of white cardstock using dye inks and detail blending brushes. By using detail brushes, you can use different colors on the same stencil layer and really add a lot more shading to the open areas. I splattered the panel with light gold watercolor paint. Once dry, it was die-cut with a rectangle die and adhered to an A2 panel of red cardstock.

The dies in the Christmas Cake Pops Die Set were cut from red, green, tan, light brown, black and matte gold cardstock. I added shading with the same dye inks that I used on the background, then adhered them together with liquid glue. The second largest die in the Stitched Torn Rectangles Die Set was cut from vellum. The cake pops were adhered with liquid glue, then the vellum was adhered to the background, adding liquid glue only behind the die-cuts.

The sentiment is a combination of the Large Merry Shadow Die Set and the Gingerbread Friends Stamp Set. The top layer of the Large Merry Shadow Die was cut once from red glitter cardstock and twice from heavyweight white cardstock and the shadow layer was cut three times from heavyweight white cardstock. They were stacked and adhered together with liquid glue, then adhered to the front of the card. The sub-sentiment, from the Gingerbread Friends Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with green ink and cut out with a die in the Sentiment Strips Die Set. I trimmed the ends, then popped it up with foam tape below the large die-cut sentiment. I used a white gel pen to add highlights and details to finish off the card.

That does it for me today!! wishing you a wonderful weekend and I’ll see you soon!!
