Hello everyone!! Welcome to December!! I can’t believe Christmas will be here in 3 1/2 weeks!!
For the month of December, Effie created a new Mood Board for The Ton’s Challenge Blog…
I loved all the soft colors in the mood board, but in the end, my eye kept going to the tree in the bottom right corner. Here’s my project…
I started off by stamping the Christmas Tree layering stamp with Aspen Cocoa, Bright Fern & Basil Mojito inks. I stamped the star & ornaments from the Christmas Tree set with Versamark and heat embossed with gold sparkle embossing powder. The sentiment is from Holiday Ballet and was also heat embossed with gold sparkle embossing powder, before fussy cutting the sentiment and tree as one piece. The Haute Stripe Background Cling Stamp was embossed with the same gold sparkle embossing powder onto red cardstock, then die-cut with the Double Stitched Rectangle Die (Large). I stamped several stockings from the Fireplace Holiday Accessories set with Caviar Ink, colored with Copic markers then fussy cut. I added the names of my brother’s sweet family to the stocking to personalize this just for them. I think that makes a Holiday card even more special, don’t you? I popped the stripe panel onto some fun foam & adhered it to a top-folding note card. The tree was adhered with foam adhesive, as were the stockings. For a little more dimension, I placed gold holographic sequins from the Kiwi Smoothie Couture Mix over each ornament.
That’s it!! I think my youngest niece will love this card…she LOVES her some glitter too…lol!!!
Now it’s your turn!! You have all week to play along!! You may even win a $50 gift code to The Ton’s Shop!!!
