Hello everyone!! Today is the first day of November (what?!!!!) and that means we have a new challenge for The Ton!!! This month we have a cue word challenge…and that cue word is HOLIDAY!!! Hopefully, you have been working on your holiday cards!!
I decided to combine some holiday stamps with some non-holiday florals…
I began by stamping the Holly Branch stamp onto a panel of white cardstock with Bright Fern, Basil Mojito, Found Topaz, Red Sangria & Valentine Red inks I love how you can use this set as a layering set, layering set + outline or just the outline to color. I stamped the flowers from the Fresh Cut Carnations set with Hollywood Star, Red Sangria & Valentine Red onto white cardstock, before fussy cutting. (I didn’t have the Coordinating Dies yet.) The leaves are from Large Florals: Carnation. They were stamped with Soft Garden, Bright Fern & Basil Mojito Inks, then fussy cut. The Minor Stripes Cling Background stamp was used with Red Sangria ink. (I like to stamp an entire panel, then I have several colors already made & can cut off strips as needed.) I adhered the strip at the bottom of a top folding card base, then the holly branch stamped panel was adhered to a piece of green cardstock, before attaching to the card base. I also stamped the sentiment from Cozy Poinsettia with Red Sangria ink. The carnations and leaves were popped up with dimensional adhesive and trimmed off even with the top of the card. A few sequins from the Sugar Cookie Couture Mix (which was a gift with purchase, but should be available to purchase this month) finished off the card nicely!!!
Come play along with us!!! You have all month to join in!! There is even a $50 gift code to The Ton’s Shop up for grabs!!!
This is a gorgeous card !
This color combination is very attractive. I love when I use colors other than the traditional Green and red. Great Job!
