Hello everyone!! It is the first day of October and that means we have a new challenge for The Ton!!! This month we have a mood board that is sure to have you craving a warm cup of joe!!!! I prefer iced coffee…lots of cream & sugar, please!!! Especially since summer has been sticking around longer than usual in the Midwest!!
Here’s the beautiful mood board that Effie put together for October…Yummy, isn’t it?? Here is my take on it…
To start, I heat embossed the images from Large Peony 4 & Large Peony 5 onto Bristol cardstock, colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then cut out with the Large Peony 4 & Large Peony 5 coordinating dies. The outline of the tea cup and the saucer from the Tea Party set was stamped with Noir Ink. I used Tombow markers to selectively color the floral image stamp, then misted lightly with water for the flower pattern on the cup. The Tea Cup Coordinating Dies were then used to cut out those images. A Tombow marker was also used to add the “coffee” to the cup. The Floral Banner Mini was also stamped with Noir Ink, watercolored with Zigs and cut with the Floral Banner Mini Coordinating Die. A strip of Silver Glitter Tape was placed at the bottom of a panel of blue cardstock to ground the images. Silver Adhesive Glitter Paper was also used to die cut the heart from the Tea Party Coordinating Dies. All the elements were arranged as shown, some raised with foam adhesive for lots of dimension.
Now it’s your turn!! Head over to The Ton Challenge Blog for all the details!! You have the whole month of October to play along!! A $50 gift code to The Ton’s Shop is up for grabs!! I cant wait to see what you create!!
